This website provides information about MyFinance. It has no account registration, advertising or banking connection and does not collect financial information.
Basic technical information may be processed by our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, to deliver and protect the site. This can include IP address, browser information, request timing and security events.
Private application development
MyFinance is in pre-launch development. Development will use standards sandbox and synthetic data until a bank approves live access. Before any real account information is processed, access will require explicit authorisation through the relevant bank's approved process.
Information obtained during authorised private testing will be limited to what is required for financial analysis and budget management, such as account details, balances and transaction records.
Purpose and disclosure
- Financial information will be used only to provide and test requested analysis and budgeting functions.
- It will not be sold or used for third-party advertising.
- It will not be disclosed except where needed to operate the service securely, where authorised by the user, or where legally required.
- MyFinance will not request or store internet-banking passwords, PINs or authentication codes.
Access, correction and deletion
People participating in private testing may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their information. Bank access can also be disconnected through the available consent controls. Requests can be sent to hello@myfinance.tools.
Retention
Financial information will be retained only for as long as needed for the authorised testing purpose or as required by law. Specific retention settings will be documented before broader availability.
New Zealand privacy principles
The application is being developed in New Zealand with the Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles in mind. This statement will be updated as the product and its data practices develop.
